Carbon Reduction Strategies
In April 2011, when the first year of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC)
programme is due to take effect, UK companies will have more reason than ever to
reduce power consumption in their data centres.
CRC is a proposed
mandatory cap and trade scheme that applies to organisations in public
and private sectors that have a half-hourly metered electricity
consumption greater than 6,000 MWh annually. The goal is to cut carbon
emissions by 1.2 million tonnes per year by 2020.
At Mardix we believe it’s essential to dissect energy usage and understand exactly where it’s being used before you can
hope to reduce it.
Our three channel business model provides an all
inclusive solution where quality and innovation is built in to facilitate equipment efficiency and effective power management that reduces carbon consumption and improves your bottom line.
Our work is centred on measurement methods, processes and new
technologies to improve performance, and we can add a great deal to your company in terms of vital working knowledge and extensive power
management experience.
