At
IPH Berlin, an ASTA accredited laboratory, Mardix achieved the holy
grail of type testing, including a heat rise test at 6300A using an
innovative new ventilation system.
The switchboard
testing formed part of a venture with a major client in the UK, and
Mardix are awaiting confirmation that they are the first switchgear
manufacturer to achieve this.
Commenting on the break
through, Mardix Director, Wayne Lewis said: "This achievement is a very
positive step forward for Mardix, and testament to the continued success
of our ASTA testing programme. We look forward to passing the benefits
of this achievement on to our client base."
Mardix have invested £250K in the current ASTA testing programme and will continue testing late into 2009.
