Mardix to tackle key issues at DCD Manchester

May 10th, Hilton Manchester, Stand 2

Mardix will be taking the opportunity of DCD’s first ever visit to Manchester to tackle key issues that are dominating the data centre landscape. Linking in with the exhibition’s theme of overcoming legacy issues to deliver energy efficient, fit for purpose facilities and infrastructure, there will be on stand advice and demonstrations of the latest technologies and solutions:

1. Retrofit solutions to solve legacy issues

We can retrofit our market leading iPDU technology to provide branch power monitoring of final circuits, whilst our iTherm system using ExerTherm thermal monitoring sensors and Mardix’s 24/7/365 monitoring and trending software can also be retrofitted to switchgear and PDUs to provide predictive fault analysis of your data centre’s key power distribution equipment.

2. Power management

Our on stand team will be demonstrating the iPDU Rack Mount unit providing power management at final circuit distribution level. They will also be on hand to discuss our head-end Power Management System (PMS) with real-time information, alarms, data logging and reporting.

3. Carbon footprint reduction

Mardix can provide a full range of power distribution solutions designed to manage and reduce energy consumption and your carbon footprint. Our integrated approach to the power life cycle can facilitate cost efficiencies without compromising on power availability or power quality.

4. Bridging the gap between ICT and facilities

IT equipment power loadings and energy consumption have historically been managed separately to that of buildings’ electrical distribution networks. Mardix’s iPDU and remote PMS solution brings building and ICT power and energy monitoring under the umbrella of a single system.

Power Management Director Andy Banks, who will be on hand throughout the exhibition, comments:

“We are very much looking forward to the exhibition. The theme of legacy issues is right on topic and echoes an industry wide picture. Our technologies have been developed with exactly these issues in mind. With a range of retrofit and new build options we are well placed to deliver solutions that are fit for purpose now – and for the future.”
