Mardix's
monitoring division has successfully completed live retrofit
installations of PDU final circuit monitoring systems at key UK data
centres for two of the world's largest financial institutions.
The components of these monitoring systems were
completely installed, commissioned and tested by Mardix's own specialist
engineers without interruption to any supplies within these critical
facilities.
The complete systems featured Mardix Citect remote
monitoring software which will enable the data centre managers to
monitor and manage the power supplies to IT cabinets and mainframes,
ensuring:
- maximum availability of critical supplies are maintained
- maximum use of available IT cabinet power capacity is achieved
- accurate energy management down to IT cabinet level is possible to aid energy reduction and corporate 'green' commitments
