The Board of Directors at Mardix, the UK's leading provider of
switchgear, monitoring and service solutions, is pleased to announce the
immediate appointment of Andy Banks as Monitoring Director.
Andy joined Mardix three years ago as Manager of its then newly
formed Monitoring Division. Overseeing the launch and development of
Mardix’s range of monitoring solutions, he has played a crucial role in
building an in-house team of systems development, test, and support
engineers, and been instrumental in ongoing systems innovation.
Mardix Director, David Gardner, welcomed Andy’s promotion: “Our
ability to deliver innovation at the highest industry level depends on
the successful integration of our three business channels; switchgear,
power monitoring, and equipment servicing. Andy has led Mardix into a
new era in self-monitoring for critical power systems and it is
absolutely appropriate for him to be involved at a strategic level.”
He continues: “Andy’s knowledge of power monitoring and power quality
and improvement has ensured that our range of intelligent solutions and
products have set the industry standard. I believe that this expertise,
combined with his tenacity and strong analytical skills, will ensure
that he leads a Monitoring Division that will not only meet, but exceed,
the demands of the future."
Andy, who has previously held senior roles at Schneider Electric,
Furse and ABB, said: “Having steered the Monitoring Division through its
conception and early stages, I am very excited to be in a position to
build on this. I’m looking forward to working with our other divisions
to deliver a truly integrated power monitoring approach.
I see our continued drive to create optimum energy efficiency,
improve power quality and ensure ongoing power provision for our
clients, as critical to the future success of Mardix and I’m excited to
be part of it all.”
